I am so sick of going to Doctor’s offices and waiting for hours, and getting the run around for test results. when my son was 3 months he had surgery on his skull.we were referred to neurologist who is supposed to be the best in the state. He did a great job on my son’s head, but the follow up visits are unbarable! he request more test and does not give me the results, after i have to fight to get his results i get the answer “he looks pretty good, but the doc wants to see him every 6 months rather than 1 a year.” All you mothers out there… what is the first question you would ask? WHY? What do you see, is there something wrong. The nurse told me she did not know, so i said, can i talk to the doc? her answer was exactly this…” he does not usually talk to patients” WHAT!!!! it was like pulling teeth to get a real answer, i had to threaten to get mt son’s chart and bring it somewhere else to finally get an acceptable explanation.shouldn’t we be able to interview doctors before we
go to them. Should we be treated like customers rather than inferiors dependent upon them to accept their word as gospel? I should be able to send an invoice to the doc for making me wait 2 hours in the waiting room before i get called in the back to wait another hour back there. I am paying them to take care of my health, essentially, they work for me so why am a treated like dirt? I know they go to medical school and they are smarter than me, but that does not mean that their time is more valuable than mine and i need the three hours i took off from work more then they do for sure. Who is with me on this?
